Summer time is here and as temeptures rise my sweet tooth redefines. I crave fresh fruit and bright flavors. I want my desserts that have color and light texture.
This infused strawberry shortcake checks all hose boxes and is super fun and easy to make. My recipie below is infused with cannabis olive oil but you can always just use regular oil as well.
I like to put my shortcake in a jar because it’s easy for grab and go and also really cute if you want to give as a gift.

What You’ll Need
- Boxed Yellow Cake
- 1 Cup Water
- 1/4 Cup Om Edibles Olive Oil*
- 1/4 Cup Non-Infused Olive Oil
- 3 Eggs
- Fresh Strawberries
- 1 Can Whipped Cream
- Vanilla Frosting (Optional)
- Mixing Bowl
- Cake Pan
*this should be about 25-30mg of THC, which could be a little or a lot based on your tolerance level. If your comfortable with cannabis and have built up a tolerance, feel free to add a full 1/2 cup of the infused Olive Oil. If not, stick to the 1/4. As always, start low and go slow. Consume responsibly. :)
Step 1 - Prepare cake per the directions in the box. Use the Om Edibles infused oil in place of the regular oil the recipe calls for.
Step 2 - Pour batter in to greased baking pan. Bake according to directions on box.
Step 3 - While cake is baking, prepare your strawberries. Wash them, remove the stems, cut them in fours.
Step 4 - When your cake is done, remove it from the oven and let it cool according to the box directions.
Step 5 - After cake has cooled, cut it in to small 1 inch squares.
Step 6 - Begin to assemble your jars. Place whipped cream at the bottom of the jar, place a layer of the cake on top, then a layer of starwberries. Repeat until you get to the top of the jar.
Step 7 - Garnish with cake crumbles and an additional strawberry.
Step 8 - Eat immediately or refrigerate
